Municipal police officers entered schools in Rosh HaAyin last week to enforce the wearing of masks, as reported today (Monday) on the B network's midday program.

Did you divide? For thousands of years we dreamed of Jerusalem, so now we want to dirty it? On Saturday: The mother rested, the child pulled the trigger – and was hospitalized in serious condition Are you crazy? Is your child unprotected? One in every 150 children who contracted the virus was hospitalized

This was after parents reported at a municipal meeting that there was a relaxation in adherence to school guidelines.

And so, the next day, without prior coordination, the inspectors arrived and checked the students in the classrooms.

A source at the Ministry of Education said that this was a serious failure and that they are checking with the school principals to see how this happened.

A mother of a student from the Ohel Sarah school told Esti Perez in an interview on the Half Day program on Channel 2: "It started with parents who said that the students were hysterical and crying. After I inquired with the education director, they didn't recognize it either. It turned out that the person responsible for handling the coronavirus in the municipality confirmed it, according to him, in order to check on the administration employees.

""In practice, we understood that there was interaction with students in classrooms and hallways. There was one principal who refused to let them in, but it wasn't like that in all schools.".

The Rosh HaAyin Municipality responded: "As part of dealing with the Corona crisis, we continue to work to reduce morbidity in the city, including information, control and enforcement activities throughout the city.

""Last week, a tour of the municipal police teams took place at several educational institutions in the city with the aim of checking the lifestyles of the authority's employees in the schools, due to the increase in morbidity, and to ensure that they are acting according to the instructions out of a desire to protect the children.

""Since we received complaints that the inspectors also approached students, the guidelines were sharpened. The Corona trustees and the educational staff are the only ones who are strict about the students' lifestyles in the schools.".
