Mrs. Pnina Moshkowitz, granddaughter of the legendary influencer, the devout Chasid Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brock zt"l, a resident of Ashdod, passed away last Thursday after a serious illness, leaving behind 16 children and many descendants. She received the news of her illness more than four years ago. According to the doctors at the time, she had a month and a half left to live. This week, while comforting the family, Rabbi Yechiel Brunner heard from her husband what kept his wife going all those years in which she continued to live, despite the doctors' pessimistic predictions. He published the words in a post on his Facebook account. "More than four years ago, she was diagnosed with the disease," the husband said. "The doctor saw the tests and told her: 'You have a maximum of a month and a half to live.'" When she returned home, she told her family: 'I am taking care of my elderly and sick mother, thanks to her, I will continue to live.' Thus she went through four completely difficult years, combining care for her mother and treatment for herself. A month and a half ago - on the 23rd of Cheshon, the mother - Rebbetzin Mrs. Rachel Halperin, may God have mercy on her - passed away peacefully, at the age of 89. When the news came from the hospital about the mother's passing, the daughter responded and said: 'My insurance has run out.' Indeed, exactly a month and a half after the mother's passing, on the 12th of Tevet, the devoted daughter passed away.".
