MK Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, attacked the Knesset plenum on the conduct of the Bennett-Lapid government in the face of the fifth wave. "In those days, there was no king in Israel, anyone who was honest in his own eyes would do what was right," said Smotrich. "We are entering the fifth wave of the Corona virus, and in Israel there is no prime minister with leadership who can navigate and lead a consistent and orderly policy. "There is a prime minister with a title and honors that none of his partners appreciates or accepts his leadership. His partners know that he has no public legitimacy and that he depends on them and became prime minister only because of them." Smotrich explained that Bennett's partners in the coalition "can pull each one in his own direction, and the result is confusion, conflicting messages, zigzags in decision-making, and a lack of trust and public cooperation. And that is dangerous, very dangerous." In a tweet, he wrote: "Bennett's failure in managing the fifth wave is predetermined. Bennett is a fake prime minister, a failure and lacking leadership. None of his partners really treat him as a prime minister, and neither does the public, who simply do not trust him. He is simply ten orders of magnitude bigger than him.".
