One of the Defense Minister's staff members, who flew with him to the US, was diagnosed this morning in the third test - after three days of isolation and two negative tests - as positive for the coronavirus. To take extra precautions and after consulting with the Ministry of Health, the Defense Minister will continue in isolation until the results of the swab test are received and the staff member will undergo another test.

The Defense Ministry emphasized that the crew member did not sit near the minister during the flight and was not diagnosed with the disease during a test at Ben Gurion Airport or during a test that took place before taking off from the US to Israel.

Yesterday, it was reported that a person who was present on Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel yesterday was confirmed to have the coronavirus. Upon receiving the information, the Prime Minister's Office contacted the Ministry of Health for detailed instructions. In accordance with the Ministry of Health's procedures, all members of the Prime Minister's entourage, including the Prime Minister, are currently in isolation and will undergo another PCR test tomorrow. It was also reported that the confirmed person was not present at the meetings with the various Emirati officials.
