A 37-year-old woman from the center was hospitalized on Friday at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. She was in her 37th week of pregnancy and had not been vaccinated against the coronavirus. She was initially hospitalized in the hospital and her condition was stable. Last Friday, her medical condition worsened and the doctors decided to give birth by cesarean section. Since giving birth, she has been hospitalized in the COVID-19 maternity ward, but following a further deterioration in her condition, due to breathing difficulties, it was decided to transfer her to the COVID-19 intensive care unit. The mother's condition is now classified as serious and she is sedated and ventilated. The baby is in the neonatal intensive care unit at Schneider and is in stable condition. Dr. Ilya Kagan, director of COVID-19 intensive care at Beilinson: "We are currently fighting for her life, her condition is serious and unstable and she is in danger of death.".
