Justice Minister Gideon Saar published his list of candidates for the position of Attorney General this morning (Monday). Saar's list includes: Attorney Gali Baharav-Miara, former Tel Aviv District Attorney, Attorney Raz Nizri - Deputy Attorney General for Management and Special Positions, and Attorney Roi Scheindorf, Deputy Attorney General for International Law. The Minister of Justice submitted his list of candidates to retired judge Asher Grunis, chairman of the committee to find the Attorney General. The Prime Minister and members of the search committee can also propose candidates. The members of the committee alongside Grunis are MK Zvi Hauser, former Minister of Justice Dan Meridor, representative of the Bar Association, Attorney Tami Ullman, and representative of the academy, Prof. Ron Shapira. Additional candidates considered significant are Prof. Ariel Bendor and former Military Attorney General, Maj. Gen. Sharon Afek. The committee is expected to recommend several candidates within a month, and the minister will decide between them in the days following the recommendation.
