The fatal accident occurred on Saturday evening, when the Moudad couple's vehicle, which was traveling towards Modi'in Ilit, collided at the Ofarim intersection with a Palestinian vehicle coming from the direction of the village of Shukva, from the south to the north, and made a U-turn in a prohibited place - on a continuous separation line. The three-year-old child, Tov Rai, was killed on the spot. His older sister, Halali, aged six, died of her injuries in the hospital. The fetus in the mother's womb, who was given the name Malachi, did not survive the accident. On Saturday evening, the siblings were buried side by side in the cemetery in Rehovot.
