The Israel Police arrested a 24-year-old Haredi resident of southern Israel on suspicion of committing serious crimes against several minor female relatives - in Jerusalem.

The arrest was made after the police opened an investigation following a report received at a Jerusalem District court station about a month ago. According to the suspicion, the southern resident used to commit serious acts against several of his family members, minors under the age of 16, on several different occasions - while he used to visit the family home in Jerusalem. The acts were committed over a long period of time. The suspect was arrested and transferred for questioning, and today his detention in court was extended by six additional days - until December 13, in order to continue the investigation.
