The Jew was injured as a result of a shooting at a group of Jews on Exodus Street in Lod. After an investigation by the General Security Service, in cooperation with the Israel Police, two terrorists, residents of Lod, in their late twenties, were arrested: Amsalem Hasuna and Ayed Hasuna. As part of their interrogation by the Shin Bet, it emerged that the two were the ones who carried out the shooting attack and were also involved in additional riots that occurred in the city of Lod during the month of May. Upon completion of the investigation, an indictment was filed with the Lod District Court for serious offenses. The Shin Bet statement stated: "The General Security Service and the Israel Police view the involvement of Israeli citizens in terrorism with great seriousness and continue to work relentlessly, even over time, to resolve all of the terrorist incidents that were committed during Operation 'Guardian of the Walls' and to bring the perpetrators to justice.".
