Dozens of activists blocked the entrance to the city of Jerusalem this evening (Sunday). The activists set up a display simulating the death of their beloved Godfather Z"l in order to illustrate to passersby and returnees what happened - and the extent of the police's negligence during their handling of the incident.

As part of the demonstration, the protesters blocked the entrance to Jerusalem with an overturned vehicle. Under the vehicle, the protesters placed a doll that simulates the body of Ahuvia Z"l, which was under the vehicle. They poured red paint around the vehicle to simulate his blood. Signs were hung on the vehicle that read "Justice for Ahuvia Z"l" and "Demand an external committee - Jewish blood is not wasted." The protesters chanted slogans to close down the Shai Police Station. "It is important for us to illustrate to the public how Ahuvia's tragic death occurred," said one of the protesters at the scene. "We are approaching the anniversary of his killing, and it is simply impossible that the police officers who killed him have not yet been brought to justice, and not only that, but they have also returned to their usual work at the Shai Police Station. We call from here tonight, too, that this is a difficult evening after another murderous attack, to do justice and bring the police to justice, everything must be done so that such a case does not happen again, God forbid." In recent weeks, protests against the Israel Police have been renewed following the death of Ahuvia Sandak, the late. Hundreds of activists, along with Ahuvia's family members, have demonstrated several times in Jerusalem. [Gallery]

The family's call for an investigation into the truth of what happened in the incident has recently intensified following various publications about omissions and question marks in the investigation of the police officers who were complicit in the killing. The family hopes that they will soon decide to prosecute the police officers and thus do some justice to their son who was killed. After over an hour, the police forces removed the display from the scene.
