Less than a week has passed since the budget and the Arrangements Law were approved in the Knesset, which also includes the 'kashrut reform' promoted by Minister of Religious Services Matan Kahane. Alarming: 751% of those who died from the coronavirus under the age of 60 were not vaccinated Employers can receive a financial incentive of up to NIS 22,250. How? Enter This week, the rabbi of Afula, Rabbi Shmuel David, expressed open support for 'reform', and now two additional rabbis are joining: the first is Rabbi Moshe El-Harar, the rabbi of the city of Shlomi, and the second - Rabbi Meir Ladani of the Lev Hasharon Regional Council. The two rabbis published a letter of support for Minister Kahane - and wrote to him: "Our hope and belief that his honor's many privileges in the military system will also stand him in good stead in his great role in citizenship to heal the kashrut system in the State of Israel." The two rabbis admit that for many years the kashrut system in Israel has suffered from many failures, and nothing has yet been done to improve and correct the deficiencies. The two rabbis congratulated the minister on his willingness to act and address the kashrut problems. "We support his honor in his attempts and plans to improve the kashrut system in the State of Israel, and we believe and hope that he will do everything in his power to 'clean the stables' and thus bring about the reality that more and more Jews will eat kosher," the rabbis write in the letter of support. The two even claim: "The time has come for an earthquake in the field of kashrut that will bring about deep soul-searching, and it is our belief and hope that His Honor will be wise and succeed in doing so, and like any rolling operation, to correct the deficiencies that are discovered, and especially that we believe in your good and honest intentions.".
