Returning to school: President Reuven Rivlin will open the school year in the Haredi education system in Beit Shemesh.
The president accepted the invitation of Mayor Moshe Aboutbul, and will pay a state visit to the city this Wednesday, during which he will open the school year in Haredi education, which begins on the 1st of Elul.
At the visitor center, Abutbul will present the president with a special gift: the key to the city of Beit Shemesh and a certificate of appreciation for the city, on behalf of the council members and city residents.
Afterwards, a special ceremony will be held, in which the president and mayor will present a certificate of appreciation and recognition to IDF soldiers living in the city who were injured during the operation in Gaza.
Abutbul said in response: "We are proud and grateful to the president for choosing Beit Shemesh as one of his first state visits as president of the country. The visit unites the population components of the city of Beit Shemesh and is an excellent opportunity to show the true and beautiful face of our dear city of Beit Shemesh.".
