Ministry of Health data published today (Tuesday) shows that 1,483 new confirmed cases were detected yesterday, out of 108,692 tests performed, which is 1.42 percent positive - the lowest number since July. The number of hospitalized patients in serious condition is 360 people, of whom 161 are on ventilators. The number of deaths in the epidemic so far is 8,010, with six more dying yesterday. The data shows that almost a quarter of all deaths in the epidemic died in the fourth wave, when vaccines are available. The infection coefficient is 0.78. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 1,318,478 people have been infected, but the majority have already been infected for six months after recovering, so they also need to be vaccinated. The number of people vaccinated in the third dose is 3,856,772, with 9,834 vaccinated yesterday, and 12,614 vaccinated with the booster dose the day before yesterday. This is a relatively low vaccination rate, which if it remains the same will greatly reduce the number of people in Israel who are eligible for a green card, and will expose more people to the risk of reinfection in the winter. Currently, there is a gap of about two million people between the second and third doses.
