A mourning in Chabad: Wife of the chairman of 'Beit Rivkah' institutions dies of coronavirus at age 90

Baruch Dayan, the truth teller:  Today (Sunday), at the age of 90, Mrs. Rivka Hefer E.H., wife of the chairman of the 'Beit Rivkah' institutions in Kfar Chabad, the Rabbi The late Shmuel Hefer - After being infected with the coronavirus.

The deceased, a resident of Bnei Brak, was born to her father, Rabbi Chaim Yosef, and her mother, Mrs. Sanya Rosenblum, Chabad Hasidim in Tel Aviv. Her father was a member of the founding committee of the Chabad Hasidim Association in the Holy Land.

Her mother was the daughter of the late Rabbi Menachem Mendel Guraria, father-in-law of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, after his son Rabbi Shmaryahu Guraria, known in Chabad as the Rashag, married the Rebbe's daughter, Martha Chana.

Due to the fact that her uncle was the Lubavitcher Rebbe's brother-in-law, she and her husband were relatives on the Rebbe's and his wife's side.

Her husband, Rabbi Shmuel Hefer, who passed away about a year and a half ago - on Nisan 17, 1970 - of a heart attack. In addition to being chairman of the 'Beit Rivkah' institutions, he served as vice chairman of the Chabad Hasidim Association in Israel and chairman of the Committee for the Wholeness of the People,

The late Rebbe was honored to stand at her husband's right hand in his life's work, 'Beit Rivkah', and in all his other activities on behalf of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

She is survived by her sons: Rabbi Moshe Halevi Hefer, principal of Beit Rivka College, and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hefer. Her daughters: Mrs. Deborah Shkovitzky, wife of Rabbi Moshe HaCohen Shkovitzky, and her daughter Mrs. Nava Slonim, wife of Rabbi Baruch Slonim - Chabad emissary in the city of Modi'in - and numerous descendants.

The funeral of Mrs. Rivka Hefer, may God have mercy on her, will leave at 5:00 PM from her home on 9 Rashbam Street in Bnei Brak, at 5:15 PM it will pass by the Rashi Synagogue in the city, at 6:15 PM at the Rivka Kfar Chabad House, and at 7:30 PM at the Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem.
