The incident occurred yesterday, when the child was apparently stung by a 'cube jellyfish'. This is a species of jellyfish considered one of the most venomous in the world, with its venom causing various symptoms - the most extreme of which is death. The child was taken to a hospital on the island, where doctors tried to save his life, but unfortunately he was pronounced dead. The Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment in Thailand expressed his condolences to the child's family and called for increased awareness of the presence of deadly jellyfish on the beaches. In the past, quite a few tourists have been stung, but although they managed to save their lives, they suffered from severe symptoms such as hallucinations, severe pain and high fever.
