The rebellion in Yamina is expanding: Professor Asher Cohen, the 14th-place candidate in the Yamina party for the Knesset, announced this morning (Thursday) that he opposes the left-wing government. According to a report by Yonatan Gottlieb on Channel 7, Cohen even withdrew from the WhatsApp group of the party's activists in religious Zionism. "Hello everyone," he wrote. "As someone who opposes the formation of the government in its current composition, I am withdrawing from the group, hoping for better days." Professor Cohen was placed 15th in Yamina before the elections, a position that was then considered - according to the polls - realistic. After Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi announced his resignation from the party, less than a day before the Knesset was sworn in, Professor Cohen was moved up to 14th place on the list.
