Rumors were spread on social media in Lebanon and the Arab world last night about the medical condition of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. Users, including journalists, spread that he had contracted the coronavirus, was in serious condition, and according to some rumors, had even died. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Jumhuriya reported this morning (Tuesday) that Nasrallah's medical condition had improved since last week's 'coughing speech' and was better than it had been, and that he was now recovering from pneumonia and a seasonal allergy that attacks him every spring, not from the coronavirus. According to the report, this is not the first time he has suffered from the same allergy and its symptoms. "In the past, he was treated without special attention, as he did not suffer from it during events where he had to speak, unlike what happened this time," the report said. According to the Lebanese newspaper, Nasrallah is being monitored by a specialist and has not required hospital treatment. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Nahar also reported this morning, from a senior official in the organization: Hezbollah, because the rumors about Hezbollah's medical condition are not true. "Sayyed Nasrallah's condition is very good and he is in good health.".
