The chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, MK Bezalel Smotrich, attacked former State Attorney Shai Nitzan this morning (Monday) - after the latter attacked him on the B channel, against the backdrop of criticism of the Supreme Court, and said: "The reactions from political elements to the High Court's ruling are extremely dangerous.". What are your chances of winning a duplex? And why is your dream closer than ever? Sweet, savory, for a picnic or to make with kids? A special variety of recipes MK Smotrich tweeted: "Now listening to Shai Nitzan (who since his retirement has become a fan of microphones and attention...). This is a scoundrel with a complete lack of understanding of law. Reciting nonsense that a law student who recited would have been expelled from the course. It's unbelievable that the man was actually a state attorney. On the other hand, if Yair Golan was deputy chief of staff, everything is probably possible." Earlier, Shai Nitzan attacked Smotrich on Galei Tzahal: "It is impossible to understand and accept the violent and shocking criticism of political elements of the High Court of Justice. When the Speaker of the Knesset and the Chairman of the Religious Zionist Party publicly call not to uphold the High Court's decision - this is an extremely serious step. Members of Knesset come and say that a Basic Law is a sacred thing, but in practice they treat it with extraordinary contempt. In the past year, 13 amendments to Basic Laws have been made. "Turn it into something that is not a Basic Law and does not resemble a Basic Law." Nitzan was interviewed in light of yesterday's High Court ruling, according to which the 'Hauser Compromise' - which postponed the budget transfer date and allowed the unity government to continue to exist - is subject to a "notice of nullity." The decision's significance for the future is dramatic: the judges have effectively ruled that from now on they can greatly limit the Knesset's authority to enact Basic Laws as it sees fit.
