""Hello everyone, I rarely write posts or deal with city management matters. I am not one, but the following lines deal with personal matters and I cry out with an excited call to our dear residents from the Arab sector in Lod to stop the wild incitement against the husband of Mayor Yair Ravivo. If it doesn't stop here and now it will be too late! We receive hundreds of threats a day on social media, by phone and on the street calling for harm to my husband. Stop, it's dangerous! And about what? About the crazy investment of hundreds of millions in the Arab sector, about the fact that Jewish council members would tell him that he was giving you too much, about the jump in Arab education 10 levels forward, about new roads, the most beautiful community centers in the country, high schools that look like a hotel and about events that are no less than Independence Day celebrations? So what is this incitement about? Yair gives everything with love, because that's who Yair is: sensitive, loving and tolerant. That's how he was raised, and he will continue to give despite everything. If there's anything that's far from heaven and earth, it's the word racist that you often use. There's no holiday that Yair doesn't record a greeting in Arabic, there's no Arab resident, like any other resident of the city, who would write a message and not receive a response even if it's at 3 a.m. In recent years, Yair told me about hundreds of meetings with Kaminitz, to regulate the illegal construction that they've been building here for decades, and no one cared. The Arab sector is closer than ever to the right to build their home legally and respectfully. That's how it should be. This is a clear worldview for him: the city won't progress if the Arab sector doesn't progress. And yes, Yair is a leader who speaks clearly when most of the local and national leadership, Jewish and Arab, are afraid to speak up: for years he's been fighting the rising crime in Arab society, the collection of illegal weapons, the blood feuds, the murder of women. He does everything to ensure, first and foremost, the safety of the Arab residents who are afraid to speak up, afraid to complain. And believe me, I was exposed to thousands of wonderful residents from the Arab sector who say thank you to Yair, what you are doing, no one will do for us. But there is an extreme minority here, backed by a few imams who are only instigators. And I ask where is the police? Where is the Shin Bet? Dozens of times Yair has filed complaints against instigators and they have all been closed. I demand that those responsible in the police and Shin Bet immediately arrest anyone who calls for harming my husband. The writing is on the wall in huge letters. I apologize that the words were written in a storm of emotions and with God's help we will return to quiet days. My dear Yair, we love you very much and may God protect us from you.
