The Ministry of Health published data this morning (Thursday) showing that 111 new cases of the coronavirus were diagnosed in Israel yesterday. The results of 47,085 thousand tests were received during the day. The rate of positive tests is 0.2 percent of all tests. The updated infection coefficient (R) is 0.75. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, 837,566 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the State of Israel. The number of deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic is 6,346. The number of active patients is currently 2,054, most of whom are in home isolation and 8 in corona hotels. 264 people are hospitalized: Of those hospitalized, the condition of 166 patients is defined as serious, 103 are in critical condition and 98 of them are on ventilators. So far, 5,369,196 people have been vaccinated in Israel with the first dose of vaccines. 4,998,500 of them have already received the second dose of the vaccine.
