Disasters between times: Four people, members of a family from Bnei Brak, were injured this afternoon (Tuesday) in a traffic accident involving two vehicles that occurred in a tunnel at the Ein Tut interchange to the north on Highway 6, not far from Yokneam.

A 43-year-old man, a Haredi resident of Bnei Brak, was critically injured and evacuated by an MDA team, while performing CPR, to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. The critically injured man is a veteran of the Bnei Brak Rescue organization. His daughter, a 17-year-old girl, was evacuated in critical condition. A 20-year-old man in mild to moderate condition and a three-year-old toddler in a similar condition were treated by rescue forces who were called to the scene and were also evacuated to Rambam Hospital. Eli Bir, president of United Hatzalah, who attended the scene of the incident: "While traveling on vacation with my family, I received a call from the United Hatzalah call center about a serious car accident. "When we arrived at the scene, we immediately began CPR on a man in his 40s. My wife and children are also paramedics at United Hatzalah, providing medical assistance to a woman who was moderately injured and a baby who was slightly injured." Senior MDA medic Ruslan Zingerman said: "I was driving on Highway 6 when I arrived at the entrance checkpoint to the tunnel, which was closed, and at the same time I received a report from the MDA call center about the accident. I went inside the new tunnel and saw the serious accident." According to him, "The injured were lying on the road, one of them unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, and the others conscious. We immediately began medical examinations for all four of them and performing advanced CPR on the critically injured. "Together with the large MDA teams that arrived at the scene, we continued the medical treatment and evacuated the injured to Rambam Hospital, with one of them in critical condition, the girl in serious condition, and the other two in moderate-slight condition."
