The headquarters of the "Magnen Avot v'Mahaut" reported today (Monday) a dramatic decrease in morbidity figures in the last three weeks in nursing homes - a decrease attributed to Netanyahu's vaccination campaign.

In Israel, speeding is the norm: Why do we drive fast?

In the past week, 176 cases of infection among nursing home staff and 221 among residents were reported - five and a half times fewer than the figure recorded at the peak of the third wave of the disease in January.

In addition to the sharp decrease in the rate of infections in nursing homes, a different and milder nature of the illness was also reported among the elderly who were infected.

Yesterday, 2,331 new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in Israel. The rate of positive tests is 3.71%.

The number of patients in serious condition hospitalized stands at 708, with 223 of them on ventilators.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,889 patients have died from coronavirus in Israel.
