Joy at the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem: The young man Shlomo Gottesman, 42, known as 'Mir's constant', got engaged today (Sunday) at a good and auspicious time. Food stamps: When will they be distributed? Who is eligible for assistance? How much money do you receive? In Israel, speeding is the norm: Why do we drive fast? The bride is Tehala Gerd, 33, a resident of the Beit Vegan neighborhood in Jerusalem. Despite his advanced age, he is diligent in studying the three sedvars in the yeshiva, until late at night. The groom, who is considered one of the special figures in the large yeshiva, located in the Beit Israel neighborhood, was close to the rabbi of the rabbinical council, Rabbi Aharon David Halevi Hadash, zt"l, who died three months ago, after contracting the coronavirus two months earlier. In the past, he worked closely in the former Soviet Union - in Belarus and in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, where he studied with young men who were approaching him.
