Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: In the Corona Hospital at the Shaarei Yerushalayim Hotel, a man from Zion Shimon HaTzadik, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Kolman, died today (Sunday), at the age of 43, after contracting the coronavirus. Not yet 27 years old? Come and become a professional in any of the respected and large organizations The deceased, z"l, lived in the Shimon Ha-Tzadik neighborhood, located above the tomb in Sheikh Garah in Jerusalem. He devoted his life to the local community throughout his life, and was known as a man of kindness. He helped a lot with the celebrations at Shimon Ha-Tzadik and at the Baal Ha-Tanya memorial in Haditch, Ukraine. Only about ten days ago did he return from Haditch, Ukraine, where he had traveled for the day of the celebration. Today, as stated, he passed away, to the sorrow of his family and many acquaintances. Thinking about a really good career and a respectable living? Don't be Moishe Groys Jerusalem City Council member Yehonatan Yosef paid tribute to him: "Death has risen in our windows. In shock, with great sorrow and dark grief, I am sad to announce that my friend and comrade Shlomi Kolman passed away tonight from the coronavirus. Shlomi was connected in heart and soul to the tomb of Shimon the Righteous and was honored to be the first settler in the renewed neighborhood. This was after Erwin Moskowitz, may God have mercy on him, purchased a building in the Nahalat Shimon neighborhood and Shlomi volunteered to live in it without water and electricity. When my father, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef, heard on the night of Shavuot about the young man living alone in the heart of an Arab neighborhood, he announced after the prayer: 'We will all go visit and strengthen the dear Jew who is renewing the Jewish settlement in the Nahalat Shimon neighborhood.' Shlomi opened the door and was shocked to see my father with the many worshippers who had accompanied him. The shock was replaced by a smile, and my father returned, thrilled, and told my mother the conditions in which Shlomi lived. This was their first meeting, and since then my father has cherished and appreciated Shlomi and loved him with all his heart. Shlomi skillfully managed the settlement in Shimon HaTzadik and was a dear friend who was always smiling, with a huge heart and endless giving. On every tour I took of the Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood, I knew that Shlomi could be 'dropped' without prior notice because he was always happy to see Jews who came to visit the Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood. Shlomi left behind parents, brothers and sisters, a wife and daughter, and the Shimon HaTzadik family that mourns and grieves for those who took him to their "highest treasures." The funeral procession will take place tonight at 9:30 PM from the Jerusalem Community Funeral Home in Har Hamenuchot, where he will be buried.
