The Ministry of Defense's "Wall" Directorate, together with the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA), successfully completed a series of interception tests of the 'Magic Wand' ("David's Sling") weapons system, against threats simulating cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. Aharon from Beit Shemesh receives 6,400 shekels every month because of depression. Maybe you deserve it too?  The tests were conducted under the leadership of Rafael from a test range in central Israel, with the participation of the Air Force and the Navy. The success of the series constitutes an important milestone in the operational ability of the State of Israel to defend itself against existing and future threats in the arena. The series of tests tested the capabilities of the Magic Wand weapon system in a new and advanced development version. The series included a number of scenarios simulating new and future threats that the system may face during a conflict. The results of the tests will allow development engineers to continue upgrading the system's capabilities. The Air Force's air defense fighters also participated in the series of tests in operating the interception systems. As part of the series, the IDF's 'Wall' directorate and Rafael also successfully demonstrated the capabilities of the 'Iron Dome' system to intercept cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and a variety of threats. The multi-layered connectivity capability of all missile defense systems (Arrow, Magic Wand, and Iron Dome) was also demonstrated, which will allow the systems to jointly manage threats and add interception opportunities during a conflict. Representatives of the American MDA and the industries involved in the development of the weapon system participated in the series: Rafael is the prime contractor for the development of the 'Magic Wand' weapon system, in collaboration with the American company Raytheon. The Elta division of IAI developed the MMR radar. Elbit Systems developed the 'Shaked Zahav' command and control system. The Magic Wand weapon system is a central component of the multi-layered defense system, the development of which is led by the Ministry of Defense through the "Wall" Directorate at the Ministry of Defense. The multi-layered defense system is based on four operational defense layers in the Air Force: the "Iron Dome" system, the "Magic Wand" system, the "Arrow 2" system, and the "Arrow 3" system. Moshe Fattal, head of the Wall Directorate at the Ministry of Defense's Research, Weapons Development and Technological Infrastructure Unit (MAFTA), defined the series of experiments as "unparalleledly complex." He added: "We have proven that the State of Israel has a multi-layered and robust capability to deal with various threats - cruise missiles, aircraft of all types, and ballistic threats. For the first time, we have proven, in a long series of experiments, an integrated and multi-layered response, which includes the "Iron Dome", "Magic Wand" and "Arrow" weapon systems. This array knows how to deal with both the detection and interception of a variety of threats, with full and mutual coordination between the systems and with sophisticated connectivity capabilities.".
