Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed this morning (Sunday), at the start of the weekly government meeting, the increase in coronavirus morbidity figures in recent days.
Just so you know: If you miss this crazy opportunity, you'll be a sucker.
Chat or phone: Why don't 'Maccabi' members have to run to the emergency room for everything?
""Unfortunately, it's probably not happening as we would like it to happen - in recent days we've seen a steep and worrying increase in morbidity," Netanyahu said. He noted that the Corona Cabinet "will meet today and we'll hear the Health Ministry's proposals for containment, and we'll decide what happens on Hanukkah. We want you to celebrate together, but we're afraid of the influx." The prime minister also addressed efforts to bring as many vaccines to the country as possible: "At the end of the weekend, we signed with Moderna for 6 million vaccines that will soon arrive in Israel. That's 3 times the number of vaccines in the original contract." He added: "In recent days, I spoke with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla about bringing the vaccines to Israel ahead of schedule, and I will continue to lead the policy we set from the beginning of vaccine development: as many vaccines, as many sources, to as many citizens, and as quickly as possible." According to him, "We are preparing for a huge logistical operation of taking the vaccines, preserving them, and distributing them to the citizens of Israel. I think today we can safely say that we can see the light at the end of the pandemic, but until then I will say it again: We must all continue to obey the instructions, this is hand distancing and masks." Meanwhile, Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn intends to bring for government approval today the appointment of attorney Amit Isman to the position of State Attorney.
