According to News 13, the Prime Minister's wife has moved to work in the private home because the Prime Minister now works many hours from home, and she wants a "quiet place" to work.
According to the report, Netanyahu tried to examine the possibility of the state paying for the house's ongoing expenses - telephones, water, electricity, etc. - and was met with a negative response from professional officials.
Following the move, work began on the site to build a pavilion for security guards with attached toilets - at a cost of tens of thousands of shekels, which the state is paying.
The Prime Minister's Office said in response to the publication: "A lie and a falsehood, it never existed and was never created. All household accounts are funded by the Netanyahu family alone and no inquiry was made regarding the expenses.".
The Security and Emergency Department stated: "Ongoing security operations are carried out according to security needs. There is a complete separation between security expenses and household expenses, which are all financed by the Netanyahu family.".
