Nati Toker, the Haredi correspondent for the economic daily 'The Marker', who has covered the media market in Israel for the past 9 years, has been appointed finance and macroeconomics correspondent for the newspaper and website, and will replace Avi Avi Waxman - who will become head of the editorial team.
Toker tweeted on his personal Twitter account: "After 9 years covering the media market, I am excited to move on to the next role: Finance and Macroeconomics Correspondent for TheMarker. Thanks to everyone who promoted and guided me: Guy, Sami, Amir, Avi, and of course to the new shift - Sivan and Rotem. Thanks to the readers, and apologies for the mistakes.".
Aharon Rabinowitz, Haaretz's ultra-Orthodox affairs correspondent and Toker's brother-in-law, tweeted: "Of course I'm biased and not objective, but this man has changed the entire perception of reporting on the media market with his ten fingers.
""From dry, publicistic reports on advertising agency deals, he moved on to in-depth investigations into the centers of power, those that no one dared to mess with until he arrived and made a revolution.".
