Chabad is excited:  45 years later, a recording of the Simchat Torah circlings in 1976 was discovered in the Lubavitcher Rebbe's seminary. The Rebbe was recorded by a Jew who came from the Land of Israel, and did not observe a 'second Yom Tov' in New York. The recording was given to the Chabad media company JEM. A short portion of the recording was published last year, but half an hour of the original recording is published, and improvements have even been made to the recording quality. The Lubavitcher Rebbe's circlings lasted for hours and were characterized by extraordinary joy, as the Rebbe encouraged the Hasidim to sing with rapid hand movements.
