75 years ago today: What did the Lubavitcher Rabbi send to Gerzen Goldberg zt"l?

On Rosh Chodesh Elul 5755, exactly 75 years ago today, the Rebbe of Lubavitch, zt"l, sent a letter to Rabbi Avraham Goldberg, z"l, in which he referred to his son, the Gaon Rabbi Zalman Nehemiah Goldberg zt"l - who passed away today. This is the university that allows you to study from anywhere and at any time convenient for you. In the letter, sent from 770 in the Crown Heights neighborhood, the Rebbe informs the father that he is sending "twenty-five shekels" for his son, then a young man of 14 and a half years old. The Rebbe wrote: "I was pleased to hear that our son Mr. Zalman Nehemiah, may God strengthen him to be healthy and diligent in study and fear of God, and I am sending him a gift of twenty-five shekels to benefit his health."
