According to a report in Kan News, a circular issued by the head of public health services, Dr. Sharon Al-Rai, is expected to shorten the duration of isolation by one to three days. Dr. Al-Rai's circular further noted that in cases where the date of sample collection is missing for a patient who does not have symptoms of the disease, this date will be calculated by subtracting one day from the date of receipt of the positive test result. In cases of patients who have symptoms, it is not possible to determine with certainty the date of onset of the disease, and recovery will be defined after ten days from the date of collection of the positive sample, provided that at least three days have passed since the symptoms ended. In the case of patients without symptoms, a certified nurse can also give a certificate of recovery, provided that she has checked the patient's computerized medical file and asked the patient. In the case of patients with symptoms, confirmation of recovery will be given only by a doctor.
