Rescue forces, who were called at 00:18 to Solam Yaakov Street in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem, provided the injured boy with medical treatment and took him to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in critical condition, while performing CPR. Unfortunately, the medical teams had no choice but to declare him dead. The deceased was born in Jerusalem in 5763 to his father, Rabbi Chaim Zevulun Glick, one of the most prominent avrechims in the Shaarei Tivuna community, and to his mother, Mrs. Naama, a nurse at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital. The mother is the daughter of Rabbi Noah Hertz, who was an Israeli pilot who was captured by the Syrians during the Yom Kippur War, and was released after eight and a half months as part of a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Syria. About 10 years later, he converted to Judaism. In his youth, Shmuel Aharon studied Talmud Torah in Ramot, and in the young yeshiva 'Ateret Shlomo Aryeh' in Jerusalem. He then continued in the large yeshiva, Yeshiva Ateret Shlomo in Kiryat Ha-Yeshiva in Rishon LeZion, where he completed Shiur A this year. He is survived by his parents, grandparents, and 9 brothers and sisters. His funeral will take place this morning at 10 a.m. from Mount Hamunoch in Jerusalem.

Aharon Ben Arush, a paramedic with United Hatzalah, said: "With the assistance of additional paramedics from the Ramot neighborhood, we performed CPR at the scene of the accident on the boy who was critically injured. He was then evacuated to the hospital while undergoing CPR, where, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead." Shuki Becker, another United Hatzalah paramedic, added: "According to passersby, this was an accident involving a private car, a bus, and a bicycle. We performed CPR on the boy who was riding the bicycle, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the car and the bus driver did not require medical treatment." Avigail Bir, a United Hatzalah paramedic who was near the scene: "When I arrived at the scene, I encountered a young cyclist who was suffering from a serious injury and was unconscious. We performed CPR on him with the assistance of a United Hatzalah paramedic, and then he was evacuated in an intensive care unit to Shaare Zedek Hospital, where the doctors were forced to pronounce him dead due to the nature of the severe injuries he suffered." MDA paramedic Avi Shiff said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a bicycle and nearby was a 16-year-old boy lying unconscious. He suffered from multiple systemic injuries and was not breathing and had no pulse. We provided him with medical treatment and performed advanced and prolonged CPR until we reached the trauma room at the hospital, where the doctors were forced to declare him dead." The police said: A traffic accident occurred on Solam Yaakov Street in Jerusalem, between a cyclist and a private vehicle, following which the cyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was detained at the scene. Police arrived at the scene and an investigation was opened.
