Bennett: Am I sure I would recommend Bibi? No! Failed, a resounding failure

Yamina chairman, MK Naftali Bennett, threatened this evening (Monday) in an interview he gave to Channel 13 that his party would not recommend Benjamin Netanyahu to form the next government - if he now leads to additional elections. I think this government is terrible and horrible on all fronts - one of the worst in the history of the State of Israel. In Corona and other things." He noted that as long as the war on Corona continues, there should be no elections. "As soon as we put down the flames and take control of the pandemic, we should throw this government to hell." Bennett is not impressed by the polls that predict 16 seats for his party. "Polls are very nice, but that's all they are. You don't go to the grocery store with them and don't do anything with them. I don't see elections right now and I think it would be a mistake to drag the country into elections." He then referred to an incident that occurred earlier today on Mount Dov on the Lebanese border: "The State of Israel should always lead the way and not be dragged," he claimed. When asked if he was concerned that the decisions of the security establishment were not tainted by political considerations, he replied: "I believe that the entire system will not drag the country into military adventures for irrelevant reasons. I know the people who are working. "I think that as a policy, a very problematic equation has been created. We should not tiptoe to defend ourselves against shooting and terrorist activity by Hezbollah members in Syria. The process of changing the equation should be on our terms.".
