The sages of Israel have established in us: Following the inflammation suffered by the head of the Gur yeshiva, Rabbi Alter, more than a month ago, a repeat blood test was scheduled for yesterday at Sha'arei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
This is the university that allows you to study from anywhere and at any time convenient for you.
The blood test results revealed that the inflammation was still active - and the Rosh Yeshiva was invited back for a CT scan to determine the cause of the inflammation. Those close to the Rosh Yeshiva say that the interpretation of the CT scan performed this morning (Wednesday) identified the cause of the inflammation and determined that the Rosh Yeshiva would undergo surgical treatment. Since the tests revealed that the Rosh Yeshiva tested positive for the coronavirus, the doctors decided that he would receive an antibiotic infusion for two days in the hospital, and that he would return home to recover before Shabbat - until he received a negative coronavirus test. Only then will he return to the hospital for surgical treatment.

After a minor infection: Rosh Yeshiva of Gur, Rabbi Alter, hospitalized
Meanwhile, the Haredach Alter agreed to take on the leadership of the small yeshiva 'Peni Menachem'. Yesterday he sat with the spiritual team for the first time, and in the coming days the community plans to hold an official coronation ceremony, with the participation of the yeshiva's head from Gur - which will probably now be postponed until after he recovers from the coronavirus.
