During the demonstration last night (Saturday) against the lockdown in the Romema and Kiryat Belza neighborhoods in Jerusalem, a YSM police officer was seen beating one of the protesters. This was after the ultra-Orthodox man told him that he was not wearing a mask. Absurdly, the ultra-Orthodox man who was violently attacked was arrested and brought to a detention extension hearing in the afternoon, supposedly on the grounds that he had attacked a police officer. How can you become a programmer, paramedic, or multimedia producer without investing a single penny? The serious incident occurred during the night, when ultra-Orthodox protesters opened the roadblocks, threw stones and threw eggs at the police forces. In the footage filmed by journalist Liran Tamari from Main Jerusalem, one can hear how one of the protesters at the scene says to a police officer who was not wearing a mask properly: "Where is your mask? Wear a mask, hello! Wear a mask, wear a mask!" The police officer became angry and suddenly decided to hit the protester in the face. Apparently, the police officer hit him in the forehead with his walkie-talkie. After hitting the young Haredi man, the policeman quickly disappeared among the police officers as the other protesters shouted: "Photograph him, photograph him!" The police opened an investigation into the incident. An official statement from the police stated: "During a protest that took place in Jerusalem last night, hundreds of protesters began to disrupt public order at the scene, rioting, throwing stones, objects and eggs at the police officers, blocking a traffic lane and throwing down police barriers. Police forces acted at the scene against the lawbreakers and arrested suspects for violating public order. "As allegations arise against any of the police officers who acted at the scene, it is appropriate that they be investigated by the authorized authorities as is customary, and therefore the case will be forwarded on our initiative for investigation accordingly. We will continue to allow protests to take place within the limits of the law, but we will not allow violence of any kind that is a blatant violation of public order in violation of the law.".
