The 'Tselmo' organization filed a complaint with the Ethics Committee against MK Ayman Odeh at noon (Thursday) for violating the rules of ethics - and demanded "to suspend him for six months." In addition, the organization also appealed to the Attorney General to open a criminal investigation. Under the heading "Complaint to the Knesset Ethics Committee - MK Ayman Odeh" - it reads: "On July 2, 2020, MK Ayman Odeh participated in a virtual conference in Ramallah held by senior Fatah figure Jibril Rajoub and Hamas deputy leader Saleh Arouri. The Hamas organization is officially defined by the State of Israel as a terrorist organization. The law prohibits contact with a "foreign agent." A "foreign agent" is defined in the law as "someone who has reasonable grounds to suspect that he is a member of a terrorist organization or is associated with it or is acting on its behalf." There is no doubt that MK Odeh allegedly violated this law. In addition, at a conference attended by MK Odeh, a Hamas representative declared a new intifada against the State of Israel. Therefore, MK Odeh violated the following sections of the Knesset's ethics regulations: A. Section 1A(1) "Loyalty to the fundamental values of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state." B. Section 1A(3) "A member of Knesset shall be careful to uphold the laws of the state and work to promote the principle of the rule of law." I will request that MK Odeh be subject to disciplinary action by the Knesset's Ethics Committee." An organization in his photo stated: "We will not give in to a supporter of terrorism. At the same time, we have also appealed to the Attorney General to prosecute him criminally.".
