Attorney Zviel Moskowitz, of the law firm Schwartz & Moskowitz & Co., sent a sharp warning letter today (Thursday) before filing a lawsuit to the CEO of the Victory chain and its owner, Haim Ravid - with an unequivocal demand to clarify the meaning of the directive given and to denounce it.
According to Attorney Moskowitz, who belongs to the Haredi community himself: "This is an outrageous directive that, if it has any basis, borders on racist behavior bordering on anti-Semitism, which is unacceptable, and I hope it has no basis in reality.".
According to him, he issued the letter because up until the moment the letter was issued, no denial or condemnation had been given to the celebrity.
""As customers and representing many customers of your company, which is part of the Haredi sector, we request that a directive be issued clarifying to the media and to the company's employees that the directive given is baseless," writes Attorney Moskowitz, warning that he will use the means at his disposal to check whether the chain's employees complied with the outrageous directive.
He said he is considering taking legal action against the person who gave the instruction - to the extent that it was given.
""If this letter of mine does not receive the appropriate attention, and if the issue is not resolved, I intend to act in every legal way to denounce and prevent this discriminatory and prohibited conduct, including through class action proceedings, with all that this implies, and all costs of the proceedings, including attorney fees, which will be added to this, will be borne by you in full," warns Attorney Moskowitz in his letter.
Attorney Moskowitz ends his letter with an unequivocal demand: "You are requested, through the Attorney General's Office, to respond to this request of ours, no later than 7 days from the receipt of this letter. No further notice will be sent!".
His office stated that up to this moment, no response to this letter has been received from the Victory Network.
