Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman launched a scathing attack on the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense at the start of the faction meeting this afternoon (Monday).
"In a time of crisis, the leadership is expected to set a personal example. Unfortunately, what actually happens is that we are given a terrible example. An example of loss of shame," said Lieberman.
He added: "Against the backdrop of 920,000 unemployed, and the deficit that will reach 101,000 by the end of the year - we received a government with 35 ministers, 9 deputies and 7 more MKs who joined on the basis of Norwegian law, and in addition, the Prime Minister is requesting tax refunds and various benefits totaling NIS 1 million."
"It is instead of asking ministers and MKs to give up 10% of their salary or reducing ten positions of ministers and deputy ministers to nothing and giving up the Norwegian law."
"But Netanyahu and Gantz's priorities are reversed. They worry about themselves and whine about the public. The current leadership has lost all shame. It is closed off and disconnected from the people and is doomed to disappear from the world."
