‘'‘In general, you behave differently on Shabbat: TV host Corinne Gideon reveals
The TV presenter, who married Hili Sorotskyn, a member of a Haredi-Lithuanian family from Tel Aviv, and has recently become closer to tradition, protested in a video she posted about what she heard on Amir Ivgi's radio show on Galts - and said that the decision goes against the Chabad movement, "I hear the deputy mayor of Tel Aviv talking about how they are prohibiting stalls from standing outside schools," she was furious. "What stalls? Tefillin stalls of the wonderful Chabad Hasidism that deals with love of Israel! And they are not willing for them to stand with their tefillin." Gideon was outraged that behind the decision was a fear of the religiosity of children: "To say that the children are a captive audience? What will happen to the children? Will they be kidnapped and forced to repent? What's wrong with them being exposed to this content? I don't understand." She also attacked the deputy mayor of Tel Aviv, a representative of the 'Green Seculars' faction, and said that she doubts and suspects his intentions, since he is a person who is known to defy religion: "Now he says that this applies to all entities that want to stand up, including other associations," continued Corinne Gideon, "But what?! This man is the one who issued the 'Open on Tisha B'Av' sticker, which is about the most defiant thing one can do towards religion. So I suspect his intentions.".
