No longer a lone soldier: First Sergeant Shawn Carmeli, who fell in battle in Gaza, was buried today in the Haifa cemetery with about twenty thousand people marching behind his coffin.

Sean Carmeli, 21, was a soldier in the Golani Brigade and lived in Ra'anana. Carmeli was born in Texas and at the age of 16 immigrated to Israel, where his two sisters were already living.
