Yair Lapid, number 2 on the Blue and White list, strongly rejects reports of secret talks with Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman - about contacts to prevent the formation of a right-wing-ultra-Orthodox government.

According to a report by commentator Amit Segal, Lapid made it clear: "We will not sit with Netanyahu."

According to a news release, Lieberman and Lapid met in Europe and discussed the possibility of forming a unity government without the Haredim and uniting right-wing parties, thereby promoting public transportation on Shabbat, partnership agreements, recruiting Haredim, and changes in budgets.

The report was denied because Lieberman is in Vienna while Lapid and his wife are in Paris.

MK Oded Forer, number 2 in Yisrael Beiteinu, already on Thursday dismissed rumors that Lapid and Lieberman would meet in Vienna to discuss the option of a unity government without the Haredim.

"The meeting with Lapid in Vienna is only in the imagination of people who live the conspiracy from morning to night. Even a unity government with Gantz is only part of a paranoia attack," said Forer.

Lieberman sets two threshold conditions for his entry into the Netanyahu government: the defense portfolio and passing the draft law as it stands, without any changes requested by the ultra-Orthodox.

However, Lieberman has not yet spoken with the prime minister.

Katz: Stable government

In an interview with the news company's "Ulpan Shishi," Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz stated that there is no chance that Netanyahu will seek a unity government with the Blue and White party, but will instead rely on his partners on the right.

"The prime minister said, even during the election campaign, that he would form a right-wing nationalist government - and so he will," he declared. "He will form a stable and broad government."

A senior member of the Blue and White party, Zvi Hauser, also made it clear on 'Meet the Press' that under no circumstances will his party sit in Netanyahu's government.

"There is no justification and no feasibility. I know how Netanyahu first establishes the bloc and then adds," he explained. "First of all, we are in the final stages of a legal process, so it won't happen."

Hauser added: "The prime minister said he would drop all the allegations against him at the hearing, so if he drops three indictments, including bribery, then invite me again and we will talk about the possibility. And if he doesn't drop them and the attorney general files an indictment, then the decision will remain the same as today. We will not sit with a prime minister who is accused of bribery and wants to continue serving."

Former head of the Israeli Intelligence Service, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amos Yadlin, in an interview with the program "Transferring to the First" on Kan: "I have reason to assume, and this is based on things I heard in the US, that Trump will try to influence the composition of the Netanyahu government and its policy. Trump will publish the plan of the century this month, even before there is a government in Israel."

Lapid: Yes, we will be bitter.

Meanwhile, Lapid published a scathing post on his Facebook page against the Netanyahu government, saying that the Blue and White list would make life miserable for the government from the opposition ranks.

"I understood that the sensitive souls of Bibi and his people were seriously hurt by my saying that we would embitter the coalition's life. It turns out that the politicians who called Benny Gantz mentally ill and me an Amalek and a troublemaker for Israel are becoming very vulnerable when it comes to themselves."

So let them know that I meant every word. In the face of injustice, corruption, and neglect of the weak, we will be bitter, because that is precisely the role of the opposition, and I will not back down even once.

"If it's hard for them, let them deal with it."
