The leaders of the "My Israeli Brothers" party, led by Adina Bar Shalom, decided this evening (Tuesday) not to run in the upcoming elections, despite submitting the list to the Central Elections Committee last week.
The leaders of the party, which according to the polls is receiving few votes, decided on the step "out of responsibility to the electorate."
The party's statement said: "In light of the political reality emerging in recent days and out of responsibility to the electorate, the party council has decided not to run in the elections for the 21st Knesset."
They added: "The Achi Israelii Party will continue to promote its values, foremost among them a respectful and unifying discourse that allows for the discussion of disputes by clarifying and formulating common agreements and making room for the diversity that exists in Israeli society."
The party further said: "We are committed to continuing to work to implement the ideas of the Achi Israelii party and the work program we have written in recent years in the areas of education, society, health, and living together."
Former Yeruham Council Chairman Michael Biton was a co-founder of the party and was one of its leaders, but he surprisingly left at the start of the election campaign and joined Benny Gantz's Israel Resilience Party, where he placed 11th.
