The only thing we were missing was this: Was Hitler's wife Jewish? A British documentary claims that the wife of the man who murdered six million Jews belonged to the Jewish people.

The Channel 4 show Dead Famous DNA, which will air next week on the UK's Channel 4, which attempts to trace mysterious incidents from the past, has managed to obtain hair that allegedly belonged to the wife of the Nazi dictator. The hairs were sent for DNA testing and the findings revealed that some of the genetic material found is inherited between women and is identified as being associated with the Ashkenazi Jewish ethnic group.

Brown's hair was found on a hairbrush by an American intelligence officer named Paul Baer in Brown's apartment in Hitler's Berghof residence in Bavaria. He sold the brush to an antiques dealer, who separated the hairs from the brush and sold them to a hair dealer. Eight of them were later sold to British talk show host Mark Evans for $2,000.

The British channel's spokesman explains that in the 19th century there were quite a few Jews who converted to Catholicism. Eva Braun apparently belonged to one of these families, and she herself, as well as Hitler, were unaware of this. The program's presenter added that the findings of the test turn the entire theory of race and fascism, and the idea that one race is superior to another, into a mockery and a mockery.

40 hours of marriage

Eva Braun met Hitler when she worked for his court photographer. Hitler did not make his relationship with Braun public because he wanted to maintain his image as someone who dedicated his entire life, including his private life, to the cause.

Hitler also feared that Braun did not belong to a pure-blood family and sent his aides to investigate her origins. Only after he was convinced that she was indeed 'pure Irish' did he make her his official consort.

The couple had their wedding in the last days of the war, while staying in a bunker in Berlin - built under the Chancellor's office. However, the wedding was short-lived. 40 hours later, when they realized that the Red Army was closing in on them, the couple committed suicide - Brown by swallowing a poison pill, and Hitler by swallowing poison and shooting himself.
