7-year-old's fingers were caught in a meat grinder - and remained intact

Dvir Adani, a United Hatzalah medic, said: "When I arrived at the scene, the family told us that the child's hand had been caught in the meat grinder while preparing for Shabbat. All we could do was wait for the fire crews - who tried to extract his hand from the grinder. However, due to the short time and the importance of getting to the hospital quickly, they recommended that the child be evacuated to the hospital, along with the grinder, where they continued the operation to extract his hand.".   The United Hatzalah organization reiterates its call on parents to take all precautions during preparations for Shabbat and not allow children to be near electrical or sharp devices that could cause injury.
