Almost a mass lynching on the Temple Mount: The Channel 7 website reports that hundreds of Arabs attacked a group of Jews on the Temple Mount this morning (Wednesday) with curses, shouting, and throwing objects. The group's guide, Assaf Fried, told the website about the serious incident, saying that in the 22 years he has been visiting the Mount, he has never seen such a serious and difficult scene.

Fried says that the police this morning approved a tour for a large group of citizens from across the country, but the attack on them began shortly after they entered the mountain compound. "We're used to being shouted at," Fried says, adding that the standard procedure in the face of an Arab shouting attack is to move forward and try to evade the shouters, but this time the incident was much more serious.

""As we advanced up the mountain, more and more Arabs approached us, shouting, cursing, and waving three fingers, the new Palestinian symbol of victory, following the kidnapping of the boys. It started with the children of the Hamas camp, continued with women who joined in, and slowly the age of the attackers increased. More and more adults joined in, chanting 'Khaibar, Khaibar, al-Yahud,' meaning death to the Jews as Muhammad did to the Jews of the Khaibar tribe. They waved shoes, cursed, and shouted.".

The commotion sprang up the police officers who were there and they tried to confront the Arab rioters who were half a meter away from the Jewish group. About forty police officers worked to keep the rioters away, but according to Fried, they collapsed in the face of the crowd that was pressing in on them. At this point, the police officers were mainly concerned with encouraging the Jewish group to quickly complete their visit and leave the mountain compound.

""It wasn't just an unpleasant feeling, but a feeling that at any moment someone could pull out a knife and stab us. The outrageous visitation rules prevent us from praying out loud and we are forced to accept these rules and pray in our hearts, but they are allowed to curse, shout and throw objects at us"?

Farid says that in the face of the controversy over ownership of the Temple Mount, everyone must ascend to the site, "The controversy has passed from the world, and even the major opponents of aliyah must ascend, in accordance with the law of occupation. Whoever does not ascend is handing the site over to Hamas.".
