Hamas leaders respond to the kidnapping of the three boys and launch a propaganda attack on Israel: Khaled Meshaal, head of the Hamas political bureau, said last night (Monday) in an interview with the Al Jazeera television network that he "congratulates the kidnappers of the three boys, and we should applaud them and take our hats off to them." Mashaal also promised that reconciliation between Hamas and the PA is not in danger, as "our war is not with the Fatah movement, but with Israel and I speak to them in the language of reason. Hamas and Fatah and all the Palestinian factions agree on the right to oppose the Israeli occupation.".
Ismail Haniyeh, who until recently served as Hamas' prime minister, also joined Mashaal's words, saying: "The third intifada has already begun in the West Bank. Israel's actions will not suppress the will of the Palestinian people.".
Netanyahu: There is no question, Hamas is responsible
In remarks the prime minister made to the Jewish Agency's board of trustees this evening, Netanyahu dismissed the statements of Hamas leaders and said, "There is no question that Hamas is behind the kidnapping.
