Jared Kushner, son-in-law and senior advisor to US President Donald Trump, arrived this morning (Wednesday) for a state visit to Israel, and traveled directly from Ben Gurion Airport to the family home of Major Hadas Malka, who was murdered on Saturday evening in the combined attack at the Nablus Gate in Jerusalem. US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman also arrived at the family home in Givat Ezer. The White House's special envoy for the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt, paid a condolence visit to the Malka family on Monday, upon landing in Israel. Kushner, together with Jason Greenblatt, will hold meetings in Jerusalem and Ramallah today. The two will try to convince the parties to agree to a summit meeting with President Trump at the White House, at which the renewal of the political process between Israel and the Palestinians will be officially announced. Yesterday, Greenblatt met with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his representative, lawyer Yitzhak Molcho.
