The Investment Center at the Ministry of Economy is currently allocating 50 million shekels to encourage employers to hire workers whose labor market participation rate is low.

The track is intended for employers who have employed or plan to employ Arab, Haredi, people with disabilities or single parents this year.

These employers will be able to receive funding from the Investment Center at an average rate of up to 27.51% of the cost of employees' wages. Applications can be submitted until July 29th.

For the first time, the director of the Investment Center decided to allow employers in the hotel sector to submit applications for the track, with a dual purpose - both to expand the supply of jobs in which these populations can integrate, thereby increasing their employment rates in the labor market, and also to assist hoteliers, who are suffering from a shortage of workers. As a result, the high levels of poverty among this population segment are also expected to be reduced.

Investment Center Director, Nahum Itzkovich: "This is an important program that gives appropriate expression to the priorities of the Ministry of Economy in everything related to the integration and advancement of disadvantaged populations. The budgetary allocation for this year's program, which amounts to NIS 50 million, will allow additional employees to be fully integrated into the employment market.".
