Early in the morning, fighters from the Egoz unit entered Bethlehem, via Rachel's Tomb. The fighters entered secretly through the emergency exits of the Zion building, passing among the kollel students, who arrive every night at midnight - and study until morning.

During the operation, the fighters managed to capture three Hamas operatives.

In addition, during the operation in Nablus, IDF forces found numerous weapons, rifles, improvised pistols, ammunition, cartridges, knives, and a lathe for making improvised weapons.
