Why did Rivlin agree to clear a table?

He came to curse and was found blessing: This week, the Ministry of Finance quietly raised the exemption threshold for purchasing an apartment to 950,000 shekels. In the original proposal, the threshold was 600,000 shekels, which is clearly unworkable.

What began as a benefit from a tailor-made Haredi apartment is increasingly emerging as an achievement that a Haredi politician would be happy to brag about. And if we add to the equation the issue of conscription, which many believe will end in a legal and orderly exemption, then in the end it will become clear that Mr. Lapid will be remembered as the man who brought the most achievements to Haredi Judaism.

So, esteemed Mr. Lapid, first of all, we thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts.

And to my Haredi brothers, I say: There is no reason to worry – there is a future in the government.

Who is in favor of evacuation: Prime Minister Netanyahu (with the air of a man who swallowed a particularly large sour sombrero) and President-elect Reuven Rivlin held a meeting in which Netanyahu asked to put aside what had happened and set out with a clean slate. Rivlin agreed willingly, because with the main course he was planning for Netanyahu, it was definitely worth clearing space on the table.

We will raise Jerusalem to the top of our joy: It will be interesting to see how the Americans will get along with the president-elect. From the Americans' perspective, Jerusalem will only be a capital city if Maccabi and Goldstar move their factories there.

And on the other hand, Rivlin ends every conversation with peace to you from Jerusalem, the capital of Israel.

Let's hope that what worked for the ultra-Orthodox will also work for Obama, and that he hates Netanyahu enough to embrace Rivlin.

For the sake of the soul, please have mercy.: The truth is that the Haredi interest in who will be the president is not particularly great. He has no authority to grant pardons, and even the issue of pardons, which was once the subject of speculation and conspiracies, has pretty much been dropped from the agenda.

And in general, since the holy movement became pure, a custom has been created that whoever is caught is erased. Try to remember Yair Levi, Benizri and others who disappeared into the abyss of oblivion (and you can see the ignoring of the current interrogators from among the movement in the Holyland affair). There is one exceptional case, but for that you probably have to be a lion.

if....

If a woman were elected president, then we could write about her presidency in a nutshell.

If Fuad had been elected, maybe the neighbors around him would have thought he was one of their own.

If Professor Shechtman had been elected, we would have a president who would be offended if he were awarded an honorary doctorate.

And only the brothers of the orphanage know the word games and they wouldn't dare to compete...
